CONGRATULATIONS!

Catherine Cooper is the Houston County Gifted Teacher of the Year! The announcement was made on December 1, 2011 at the HCAGC meeting.

Choosing the individual from among a group of incredibly talented, skilled and passionate educators is a challenging task.

Many thanks go to the individuals who nominated and supported Catherine.

Immediately after the announcement, Mrs. Cooper was surrounded by her family, friends, principal Dr. Jolie Hardin, and many other teachers and supporters from Matt Arthur Elementary.

We wish Mrs. Catherine Cooper every continued success.

What is the purpose of the HCAGC?

Just as the overarching goal of the Gifted Program is simply to INDENTIFY and SERVE, HCAGC exists for the encouragement and sponsorship of our gifted children, families and educators.

Our members are PARENTS and EDUCATORS who come together to support  the Programming for Gifted Education Services.

Why is this site important?

This website is designed for two main reasons- as an INFORMATION tool and an ADVOCACY instrument.
